About our school

Welcome to our school, where we nurture the minds of our young learners from Nursery through to Year 6. Established in 1972, our institution has a rich history of providing education in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Spanning a large site, our school features extensive grounds that include a tranquil pond area, a woodland section, and a thriving garden for growing. These elements not only enhance our students' understanding of nature but significantly contribute to their holistic development through comprehensive outdoor learning experiences. We believe that learning beyond the classroom is crucial, and our grounds facilitate this in a unique and engaging manner.

Our open-plan classrooms are designed to foster collaboration and communication among students, providing an environment where they can learn from one another while developing their individual skills. Each classroom is well-resourced, and children have access to a kitchen for design technology, a newly refurbished library , as well as modern ICT equipment that equips our students with essential 21st-century skills.

At our school, we aim to offer a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the diverse needs and interests of our pupils. Our commitment to enriching the educational journey is reflected in our extensive range of trips and visits, which are carefully curated to enhance classroom learning. These experiences help to broaden horizons and encourage our students to explore the world around them.

As part of the Shaw Education Trust (SET), we are delighted to benefit from being part of a wider network of trusted professionals, which enhances our teaching practices and fosters a collaborative approach to education. From September 2024, we are excited to share our site with Brookfields, and this collaboration will undoubtedly enrich our collective expertise and resources, providing even greater opportunities for our students.

Our dedicated team of educators is passionate about providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can thrive. We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our school community and the exceptional educational experiences we offer. If you are interested in becoming a part of the Hallwood Park family, please contact the school reception and we can arrange a tour of our outstanding site.
