Spring 2 2018

My goodness me - how time flies! We are now half way through this academic year and in Nursery, we continue to be as busy as ever. As children are now able to join nursery soon after their third birthday, we have welcomed three new members since Christmas and expect to welcome four more children over the next few weeks. We are very proud of how well our new starters have settled and how the children support and welcome new children into nursery - they are a credit to their families.

We will begin the new term by celebrating Chinese New Year, we will look at how this special time is celebrated by many people around the world. This will be followed by World Book Day, which this year takes place on Thursday 1st April. We will then think about and discuss Mother's Day, Spring and Easter.

A date for your diary: Parents Evenings will be held on Tuesday 27th March and Wednesday 28th March and this will be an opportunity to discuss your child's progress and to look at their Learning Journey files.

For further detail please see the document below.

Notices/Timetable

Outdoor Play: As we spend some time outdoors every day, the children need a pair of wellies in nursery throughout the year. There is a space on the welly rack for each child to place their wellies. The children should also have a warm coat for those cooler winter days and wear suncream and a sunhat when the weather is warmer.

Monday: Please bring £1 snack money today. This not only covers the cost of snack each day but also baking/cooking activities and parties throughout the year.

Tuesday: Please return Little Library books today.

Wednesday PE: The children will just remove their socks, shoes and jumpers for the moment. Earrings should be removed or covered with a plaster.

Thursday Little Library: Pick your child up at 11.30 today and choose a Little Library book to share together over the weekend.
