We hope that you have had a fantastic holiday and are looking forward to the half-term ahead! This half-term, our topic will be Autumn and Winter Festivals. Children will continue to participate in daily Letters and Sounds sessions to support their continually improving reading and writing skills and will be continuing with their individual, group and whole class Guided Reading sessions. We will be studying the Three Little Pigs and will be enjoying lots of lovely activities relating to the story, including drawing story maps and acting out what happens! In regards to maths, we will be counting at every opportunity and will be teaching the children lots of fun songs to consolidate their counting and number formation skills. We will investigate the Festival of Diwali and compare it to Christmas. As Christmas approaches, we will be busy learning lots of songs, making crafts and baking delicious treats. We certainly have a busy half-term ahead of us but we are confident that the children will enjoy learning through their play-based activities and discussion sessions.
If you ever have any questions or concerns about your child then please don't hesitate to come and see either myself (Mrs Hatton) or Miss Webster. We aim to work in partnership with yourselves therefore allowing your child to reach their full potential!
